What to expect
Walking into a church and meeting new people can be intimidating. Let us assure you, Ash Baptist Church is a faith family who loves the privilege of having visitors, and we will want to visit with you and your family. Our worship gatherings have the home-style feel of a traditional country church that is fully stocked with pews, hymnals, and most importantly loving people. Worship
These days, everyone seems to be preoccupied with the style of music in worship services. Truly, this should not be the case. Worship is about coming together as a faith family in Christ around the Word of God. Family worship should be much like a family around Thanksgiving dinner. Every dish on the table is not your favorite, but other family members like it and the desire is to eat as a family. Ash sings God’s praises to prepare our hearts for the teaching of His Word from the Bible, no matter the musical style. Much of our music is considered traditional with great and timeless hymns. However, we also like to worship to contemporary music too… it truly is not about the music. Corporate worship is about the family getting together for the Word so we can be sent out into the world!
What to wear
The Lord focuses on the heart more than our appearances, and that is Ash’s approach. You will find anything from casual jeans to more formal. We simply ask that folks dress in a way that does not call attention to themselves, but rather keeps the attention focused where it belongs on Jesus Christ.
Parking
We are a country church that has seen the Lord grow our family significantly. So, we have outgrown our parking area. However, God has blessed us with a beautiful hill to meet on with plenty of grassy space to park. If you want, park on the grass on the outside of our semi-circle drive going down the hill either side. We can assure you we have space for you. By parking on the grass, you will fit in with many of our Ash family members right away.
Come a little early
